INSTALLATION AND USER INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AS A PLUG-IN CAPSULE ON A MULTI-SOCKET
•
Always switch off and disconnect at the wall socket before rearranging equipment layouts.
•
Ensure that the Thunder Plug™ is always plugged into an earthed socket.
•
The Thunder Plug™ can simply be plugged into the socket NEAREST to the cable of the multi-socket unit. You can then plug in the other appliances you want protected into the remaining sockets.
2)
INSTALLATION AND USER INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AS A NORMAL WIRED PLUG
(AN IN-LINE SURGE PROTECTOR)
•
Remove the base of the Thunder Plug™ by removing the fixing screws.
•
Fit the wires from the appliance. Make sure that color coding is adhered to and that wiring from surge unit is reinstated in contact pole.
When the wall socket is switched on, the “SURGE PROTECTED” indicator will glow. If this indicator does not glow after a power surge, the Thunder Plug must be replaced. The indicator labelled “EARTHED” must always glow when power is switched to the Thunder Plug. This indicates that the appliances attached to the Thunder Plug are earthed and / or that there is power to the sockets if the Thunder Plug is being used as a multi-socket surge protector.
