Unlike the Surge King™, the unit includes a warning buzzer to indicate that power has been restored, actuation/function indicator neon and a reset button. Voltages over 275v will be effectively clamped. The unit will respond in less than 25 nano seconds. Maximum continuous current is 5 amps. In addition, maximum continuous voltage is 250volt. Leakage current is less than 1 mA and filtration 20dB. All connected equipment remains earthed even when unit is in isolation mode or un-reset.

If there is a brown out on 3 phase supplies or if the voltage drops below 180v, the unit will go into isolation mode, effectively protecting equipment. If data retention is of a very important matter then this unit can be fitted before a UPS.
When power is restored then a piezo buzzer sounds to remind one to reactivate the unit. Automatic reactivation has been considered but being electronic, could fail as it is in the direct line of fire, so to speak, and could be severely damaged because of a surge and one could then compromise the attached equipment
