A UPS is merely a backup device should you be on hand to save your data files, it only offers partial surge protection, and in so doing it will probably suffer severe damage itself in the case of a surge. 4. How long will it take to receive my unit once I have made payment?
For customers within South Africa your units will be delivered within 3 working days after payment has been paid. Outside of South Africa, delivery may take up to 10 working days.TOP

5. Will ESKOM or my local municipality bear responsibility for unexpected spikes or surges causing damage to my equipment?
Definitely not. Both of the above absolve themselves from all responsibilities. Infact they strenuously suggest that businesses and homes should protect themselves.TOP

Wattronics has provided stickers for these products. These can be applied to your computer equipment (eg. Computer monitor) or on any other electronic equipment to remind you of what action to take after a power failure has taken place. The Computer Guard SP Sonic™ has an audible signal, which will sound once power is restored. Your equipment is 100% protected from dangerous switch on surges, which frequently occur after a brown-out or electrical failure.
